Wild Thing

with 9 comments

MirrorWork

I have been in my boudoir, reading and generally lolling about, choosing to reflect and delve into that shadowy world behing the mask.

I confess I had to smile when the Wild Thing met my gaze as I looked in the mirror.

Mirror mirror on the wall
Who is the wildest thing of all?

It is a bit hard to treat this wild thing too seriously.
Actually, it feels like one of my gentler complexes has come out to play.

  1. Great drawing!

This is what I see each morning before I’ve had my cup of coffee!

  2. Snickering Lori! We could be conjoined twins đŸ™‚ It is only coffee that snaps me out of my true alien form and enables me to present myself to the outside world.

  7. Well, it certainly looks like we all hatched out of the same brood! I, too, resemble that reflection; however, it could be anytime, anywhere, and no matter what I’ve had to drink! I tend to see it a little less not that I’m postmenopausal. But when I wear that mask, everyone knows what to do. BE AFRAID, BE VERY AFRAID!! Even Gigi goes into her den. My wonderful husband…he sends me flowers with a get well soon card…a throwback to those days during infertility and hormone shots. I had to explain to everyone why I got flowers. He petted the dog wrong!

  8. Embrace your inner wild thing! Use the strength to fuel the passion for things you care about! (Just don’t bring her to tea every week.)
