A Mad March Hare Tea Party
Inspired by Easter Fun prompts & re-reading Lewis Carroll this week
Easter is a jolly time
With brightly colored eggs…
Unless you are the main entrée,
A ham or spring lamb’s leg.
Vegan is a great idea;
Sometimes I even try it.
But who has time to cook at home
And so improve our diet?
I’m allergic to so many foods,
Eggs & nuts & soybeans.
Easter dinner will be a salad –
I love those fresh spring greens!
Let’s have an Easter Tea Party,
Nibble on a chocolate bunny,
And maybe have a treacle tart
Served warm with tea and honey.
I’ll invite my treasured friends
From the Soul Food Café.
I’ll wish them “Bob Appétit!”
And “Happy Easter Day!”

How lovely! Happy Easter to you and all!
Such cheer at Easter. Thanks Kerry.
I’ll get a set of bunny ears
for another sort of bunny
would end in tears
I’ll nibble with you as long as we’re able
to hop, skip or jump
round the big spring table. Happy holiday to all consumers. Fran
Fran - what a great idea - we should do a progressive poem sometime, each visitor adding a bit.
I think this style of “literary nonsense” would be a perfect fit!

What a fun Easter poem — especially the chocolate part
Thank you, Kerry. Your Mad March Hare party sounds like great fun.
